Father Dearest

When Life is good it is just.
Fiends and serenity and money make and moment or a night great.
Through my years here I have walked a brave walk,
I have become independent and strong and thankful and spiritual and intelligent.
I have molded learning experiences to be proud of.
I believe in Karma is stronger than revenge.
I believe following your heart you don't loose.
I know anger burns the holder of the coal

There are times I think about you.
Sometimes It is when I see the things that remind me of you, but there are times when its not even about you at all.
On the happiest nights at weddings when there is a bride dancing with her father,
Or on the saddest nights when a friend dies in my arms... or a boy breaks my heart.
When I have a bad day and want to talk about it,
When I'm victorious in public and you did not see it.
When I fall or get in trouble and I know you are not there to pick me up.

I'm not a little girl, I'm very grown up.
However when my eyes do shed tears it never seems to matter why I'm crying.
When I look in the mirror all I see is a little girl that wants her dad.
Each time I wipe the tears away, I grow stronger.
Until they fall again.
